First Impressions

Appearance

Tall (6’3”), elegantly built. Matthew is physically striking, with blue-black hair, gray eyes that tend to green, and a wide soft mouth. He is very tall six-three—and physically imposing without looking muscle-bound. He is gracefully put together with everything in proportion, which can make him look smaller than he actually is. Broad shoulders that flow into slim hips and long legs, with long agile hands. His face has distinct planes and surfaces with high angled cheekbones that met brows that showed his eyes. Often with a questioning eyebrow raised.

Fashion

Black & gray. Elegantly dressed, wears sweaters, button-down shirts, and trousers in the modern world, and prefers black and silver in the 1500s.

Demeanor & Attitude

Cold, self-contained, watchful. Reserved. To witches he feels icy, the levels depending on his mood. Snowflakes if it's glancing.

Voice

Oxbridge accent, softened by his native Occitan/French. Accent adjusts to when and where he is.

Olfactory

Cloves & cinnamon, scent grows stronger if he's upset or angry. Witches, vampires, and daemons can smell him, humans cannot.

Magic & Telepathy

Very hard to read, requires a witch to touch his head. Blackhole/absence. Shows up as a black hole if the surroundings are viewed for magical energy.
